Ron S. Hendrickson
Reflects on “choppy skies” while flying. Does this correlate to the choppiness of the status of the world? (Being climate change, hunger, violence, ..etc.) Jesus has control of the situation.

Week 2 Saturday (14 December)
Do What You Can
Mark 14:3-9
….”expensive perfume”….

Carry & Deliver
Luke 1:26-33
Luke 1:26-33 26In the sixth month of Elizabeth’s pregnancy, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee, 27to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David. The virgin’s name was Mary. 28The angel went to her and said, “Greetings, you who are highly favored! The LORD is with you.” 29Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be. 30But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God. 31You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus. 32He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The LORD God will give him the throne of his father David, 33and he will reign over Jacob’s descendants forever; his kingdom will never end.”

week 1 Thursday (4 December)
Fleeing to Egypt
Matthew 2:13-15
When they had gone, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream. “Get up”. he said, “take the child and the mother and escape to Egypt. Stay there until I tell you, for Herod is going to search for the child to kill him”. So he got up, took the child and the mother during the night and left for Egypt, where we stayed until the death of Herod. And so was fulfilled what the Lord had said through the prophet: ‘Out of Egypt I called my son”.

Do we all have a “Herod” we are fleeing from?

Week 1 Tuesday (2 December)
This is not a test

These parables are not rules or law, they are good guidelines to follow.

Week 1 Monday (2 December)
Faith in the Intersection
Matthew 4:18-29
As Jesus was walking beside the sea of Galilee he saw two brothers, Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew. They were casting a net into the lake, for they were fisherman. “Come, follow me”, Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people”. At once they left their nets and followed him.

November 29, 2019 at 9:10 am Edit
Was fishing for lake trout, in a harbor many times one fall. My partner was patient and fished by a bridge, while I was casting my line all over the harbor. Neither of us landed a fish, but my partner was more at ease than me! So….maybe catching a fish is like finding an intersection with a person you can talk too?

Week 1 Sunday (1 December)
A Messy Nativity p.6-7
Luke 2:6-7
Luke 2:6-7 New International Version (NIV)
6 While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, 7 and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.

Down and dirty!, no CAMCORDERs, and maybe in animals were a little disruptive? Maybe there was no chemicals in the hay…eh? so no HAZMAT suit?

Ron S. Hendrickson
Are we to preoccupied with our own lives? Maybe even worried about our safety:). Dialog talked about listening;). We need to practice “giving Tuesday” on 12/3. Follow the reading and help someone who is feels lower than you. Not only will you be helping someone, you will be also helping yourself. Please read the daily devotion and make a comment@! starting 1 December
